Would really like to know the name of the two part epoxy from Home Depot. Working on a Pibber and looking on easy water. Did you cut the hull

Sorry, none out there. About the only 1/35 Riverine Force boats are the Tamiya PBR and some resin kits by Brown Water Enterprises. Jack Ciricco there did a Swift boat in 1/35. There were a few others from companies such as Nimix and Viking, but they are both long out of production. I just recently scored an old Viking Monitor myself. What a find. I can't wait to get started. Other than that, you hav eto scratch/convert them from LMC(3) kits for the monitors and ATCs. Good luck.

Great work. There is not enough of this subject around. Although I can appreciate the work involved with dioramas, I am glad someone is modeling subjects other than the second world war. It was over 7 years before I was born and talking about it with my grandkids---well they look at me like I am talking about ancient history. Know where I can get a line on a 1/35th scale Swift Boat?

The water is a two part epoxy resin that I bought at Home Depot. I added a couple of drops of paint to give it some color. Once it was poured and dried I used Woodland Scenics "Water Effects" to create the water ripples. It was pretty easy to do.

As has been said, your water is amazing, especially for a first try. One look at your dio, and Im dying to try water effects. Also, I love your backdrop, if thats what it is, of the sunset. It puts a lot more atmoshpere in the scene.

This is a superb dio, I like the atmosphere. The water looks simply awesome, very realistic. And unusual subject.

The kit went together like a charm. The only thing I did replace was the upper hull bar armor. The resin pieces used to make the bar armor was not that great so I used styrene plastic rod for this. It was time consuming, but well worth it.

Looks great. I have been planning on converting a LCM(3) into an LCM(6) to build a Monitor or ATC(H) myself. Yours looks great. How was the Masterpiece Models kit? I conversed with Jack Ciricco when he was working on the masters for them.

Just wanted to add a little more to my previous post as I was in a hurry getting ready for work when I did the first one. The kit used was a 1/35th scale all resin command boat made by Masterpiece Models. I bought the kit at a show back in April and have been working on it off and on over the months. I am about 80% done with it (always room for improvemnt). I did, however, take the diorama to a local model show this past weekend and received a 1st place award for ship diorama and the People's Choice Award. By the way this was my first attempt at using water effects on a diorama this large. A lot easier than I thought.
