Tiger Diorama Urban scene...

This has been a long time coming but i've finally finished this bloody thing...

Absolutely amazing, from the overall appeal of the diorama, to the countless, perfectly done details hidden everywhere. How long did this work of art take you?

Lot's of nice things here, good debris, good usse of the civilian.

In a diorama, you have to consider the story and how the elements tell taht story. The casings on the rear deck suggest it was knocked out in place. Where are the tracks? If it was k-o'd there, how and why was the engine "hood" opened since the stowage compartment is in its way? Why was the bow machine gun removed? If the shells that caused the holes in the side penetrated the fighting compartment, there'd be no one to remove the mg and the receiver would have been rendered useless. If it was towed there, why was the towing hook undone and the hulk abandoned? If there was an attack on the towing vehicle, why not just drop both rods from the tow vehicle and skeedaddle?

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Just wanted to drop another comment, since this is so amazing. I dont have any extremely observant and helpful ideas like ajafleche above, I just love your building. Maybe if you had time, you could post a couple helpful hints about the creation of that shelled building? I absolutely love the whole thing. Awesome work!

ajlafleche, In this case the story line is that this ficticious Tiger in Whittmans company was being recovered but had to be hastily abandoned and may have been used in a static defence for a short time... I agree about how everything should jive in a diorama BUT with your obvious diorama experience you also know that sometimes one has to take certain liberties for dramatic effect...

Fockwolf and Ianisborn2000, Conservative estimate.... I'd say it took 250+ hours streched over about a year...

Ianisborn2000, I'll be doing some write-ups on the building construction in the next few days so i'll get back to you on that one ok... Thanks

Your eye for detail, especially in my favorite place for it= rubble, takes my breath away (to be melodramatic about it). Really is a stunning piece of art.

It's really good, but another thing I picked up on is that a few things are parrallel or perpindicular to the base, like it was "posed" that way, and not "just a moment in time" if you know what I mean. Very good diorama.

So she is wearing two coats of makeup. Wow, she should collect some scrap iron and sell it and spend the money on plastic or resin, surgery.

Have to comment on the small blood stain and helmet on the corner...very effective and ingenious way of implying the ferocity of the recent combat...Bravo!
