Looks good, mate.

If I can offer some constructive criticism though, I agree with the guy who said the barbs on the wire are too long - makes it look way over scale. I feel the rust colour is a little too red also - tone that down a bit and maybe the oversize barbs won't stand out so much.

Also, the clumps of dry grass look out of place on the nice green turf. Give these a tinge of green also to blend them and reduce the contrast. Look at some real grass for an idea - even drying grass is usually green toward the base.

Love the addition of the guy taking a leak - the pose of this figure is very natural. The bicycle looks good too.

Your '88 under construction looks fabulous. I'm not an armour modeller, but I can appreciate the effort you have put into your work. Well done.

Wow! that's fabuleus, looks like something from Call of Duty, really impress.

I saw those kits for sale once, maybe I should buy them, and how did you do the grass?

At last it is finished,even won a gold at weling 07 first time out ,of which i am most proud

and just something else which got done but was not brill

Great work!!! Especially for your first dio. Like the others, I love the way you've finished the concrete. Looks very realistic. The scratch building looks great and to scale.
Did you work off a scaled plan or just improvise?
 
My only suggestion would be that you could maybe add some rain/water streaks on the bunker. Other than that, the weathering looks brilliant!!!

The Flak and bycicle look great. I like the p/e on the bycicle.

Great job all round. Keep up the good work and the progress shots.

 Don't worry about finding the link.  I think I remember seeing an old thread about making wire.  This is just the first time I have seen it put to use (as far as I know).  I like it, looks good.  Can't wait to see more.

the barb wire is scratch built takes a bit of time to start with but after a few goes its easy you can make a run in about 1/2 hour

I'd disagree with this.  I think the guns look good.  These guys are obviously in a relatively quiet area (just before the invasion, maybe?) so they would have time to keep their weapon clean.  The gun barrels are discolored enough (from what I can tell from the pictures) to suggest the weapon has been fired, probably quite a bit, but there is enough down time for maintenance.  About what you would expect since these guys are in a fixed position and not constantly manuevering.

What I want to know about is the concertina wire.  How did you do that?  Is it something you bought or scratched?

Ow, I'm sorry, am I not behind spesific enough, I met dow did you do the hill, the ELEVATION, GROUND LEVEL, HEIGHT, RAISING THE GROUND. I may want to know it for futur project, do you understand.

finally got around to answering this question sorry chaps.

the concrete is painted by using delta ceramcoat paint availible in the us which at the moment is good for us brits as the £ is so strong.

anyway the colours used are as follows

sandstone

mudstone

charcol

burnt umber

wedgewood green (very usefull for the mould you get at the damp bits :)

Normaly I would susgest putting a vehicule in there (like a jeep or a motorcycle) but there's not enought room to put one in so forget it.

I like your concrete!  Looks nice and weathered without looking ruinish (like that's a word )  What is the concrete constructed of?  What colors did you use?  I have not done a dio with concrete yet but that is comming.  Nice work.  Oh... and another thing I like is that it has depth.  It's not just all flat.  Can't wait to see it with the figures in it.

It's definitely a good scratchbuild so far.

So far so good,the concrete is very good,the flak is too clean,it should have the tips of the gun dark.

Very nice,the concrete look's brilliant.

I'v thought about doing something along the same lines.We were in Jersey not too long ago and got some good idea's from whats left over there.
