Hello fellow glue heads - I'm John  -BM2 here and on several other boards- I've been building a while - mostly sci fi and gundam lately but lots of ww2 and military prior to that . I have competed - mostly in the Tidewater area where I was stationed in the Navy - Norfolk - but I did take first place in sci fi dio in the 1996 IPMS nats. I'll use some pics to show what I do-

Love the Gundams <---Im a gundam modeler myself, have like 10 or so.  They look great, way better than mine.  I really love the water affects, especially on the bottom one.  Out of question what is the scale of the Gundams you built?

Hello John,

Hey shipmate, I'm a retired GMC, and from the days when GMGs roamed the canals of the 'Nam to aboard the JFK and then into the Reserves, and now retired were there is no water!!  New Mexico.

I've been posting mostly on the Armor, Aircraft and some diorama forum posts, great to see other shipmates, your dio on the DML LSSC brings back memories. I was assigned to the LSSC and MSSC which are rare to say the least and no kit exists for the Medium SSC as there were only six or eight in the whole world!

The website for Naval Spec. war and similar sites which are few have good reference material about the boats. Try checking : <combatantcraft.org> to see if they are even still up. It was started by my buddy GMCM Stoner as he was in Spec War about the time of the introduction of the two types of boats. If you or anyone needs more info about the LSSC by DML and the MSSC that is scratch-build only (no kits at all) I will help you detail them out. Also you can update the LCMs and LCVPs to Brown Water Navy looks too. Some kits exist in 1/35 or the old Lindburg kit in 1/32 ? can be converted to some of the boats used over there.

Great models and keep up the work.

My airbrush skills should improve, my wife bought me the Badger 200 for Christmas, it doesn't get better than that!
