Many Thanks! I have done some more groundwork to the base to make the tank dig in to the ground...nothing special, but I think its an improvement. I'll get some pics up over the weekend for youy to see.

Later,

Darren.

Looks good overall. The tracks have been mentioned, so need to talk about that. The one thing that looks out of place is the guy with the outstretched arm. He doesn't seem to be interacting with anyone and looks to be pretty much standing still while the other guys are walking. On the other hand, I really like how the last guy is looking at the viewer, drawing you into the scene.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Hey thanks SteveThumbs Up [tup]

You are right about those tracks, someone else brought that up and you are both right, something as heavy as a Tiger I would dig into the ground. When I did the groundwork I was trying to replicate the rocky surfaces that these tanks rode over in North Africa, they stayed off the sand because they would get stuck pretty quickly. A documentry I watched explained that the terrain was very hard in that part of the world, hence my choice of groundwork. However, like I said before you are right, I need to dig those tracks in a little to show the effect of the tanks mass. Thanks for pointing me in the right directionSmile [:)].

I love your dio. Only thing I would say, with the utmost humility and self-aware lack of your talents, is that I'd like to see those track dug in a little into the earth. Unless they don't dig into the desert terrain, in which case I am an ignorant putz.

Beautiful job in the painting on both tank and figures, and the ground work is superb.

Smile [:)]Hello Everyone,

as some of you know, I have'nt been building much due to an injury I suffered in the summer. Well, the use of my hands has come right back now and I'm (very slowly) building again. Its been great to actually finish something and its been a fantastic morale booster for me.  Smile [:)]

This is Tamiya's 1/35th Early Tiger I built straight from the box with some of Tristar's excellent D.A.K. figures on a homemade base. The roadsign is from a Verlinden set. I have a keen interest in the North Africa campain and I've always fancied having a AfrikaKorps tiger on my display shelf, so here it is. I know its far from being a "masterpiece" but I'm happy with it and although its taken an age to finish I really did enjoy the build. It has certainly made a refreshing change to all the aircraft that I would normally build.

Here it is, as always comments good or bad are welcome. (Tiger experts please go easy on me!)
