B6N2 Jill Dio

Nice dio for the Jill in the Phillippines or Guam after 1942.  One thing I would do is remove the circle and white star from the towing tractor as it looks like it came from an US 9th Air Force airfield in France in July 1944 during the drive to capture Paris.  Not a leftover from the capture of Clark Field.  And heavily weather it as it wouldn't be maintained well.  It looks good though.  A lot of hard work to complete it.

Oops.  Sorry guys.  It was a 1/48th Hasegawa kit.  Strickly OOB with Tamiya acrylic paint.  Futured coat over the decals to weather, then Model Master Flat coated.  I used the black chalk method for weathering which turned out fairly well. There were some spots that i didn't like so i just wiped it clean and redid.  I am still trying to figure out what to place the hub on so it's not sitting on the ground, and the canopy i just noticed fell off the bird when i went to shoot it.  I am still scratchbuilding fuel cans and sandbags so when those are done, this is done.  Thanks for the kind words guys.  This was my first build in over 25 years.

Looks great for your first dio. I agree that you could use a bit more crates, barrels, and other misc. equipment around the plane. you might also want to consider adding some figures.

Looks like a realy good build with great decal work, well applied paint  and some subtle weathering. You might want to rethink the set-up, however. I don't think you want to remove a wheel and set the axle down without a jack. I also don't think you'd completely remove a canopy and lay it on the ground when you could just slide it back out of the way. You mighth want to clean off the hangers from the tropedo...those whould be part of the aircraft.

Looks really good for your first diorama. 

If I had any thing to say is it looks a little sparse around the aircraft.  Maybe a bench with some tools and a couple wood crates and gas barrels to fill in.  Might see how what you have looks on smaller base too.

But like I said looks good for your first try, keep it up!
