As a side note:

for 1/100 dio you can use either HO scale or TT scale though there isn't much of choice with TT scale. (HO scale is around 1/87 while TT is 1/100)

And for 1/60 scale you can use either S scale or 1/72 scale kits

people living in glass colonies shouldn't throw nuclear stones.

The difference in the scales, using 1:160 scale details on a 1:144 scale subject, is 11% smaller [(144-160)/144].

The choice to use N-scale items with a 1:144 subject is entirely up to you.   As a matter of personal choice I try to limit the scale differences to 10%.

As it turns out, using 1:144 accessories on a 1:160 model turns out to be exactly 10%  [(160 - 144)/160].  I'm planning on using some of the new resin & PE guns & details from White Ensign on an Iron Shipwright 1:160 scale PC461 patrol craft

check out your local railway model shops.

They should have N scale scenery accessories/kits.

Although they are strictly speaking at 1/160 scale but often used in 1/144 scale diorama.

I was wondering if there are kits availabe of cranes and support vehicles (German WWII) in 1/144 because I have the Type VII in backorder (hoping it to be delivered soon) and I was kind of thinking of doing the box-art as a dio.

The box-art shows the submarine (mine-layer version) to be stowed with it's deadly cargo being taken from a truck by crane and loaded on the ship.

Thanks for any replies...
