i can't help with the gen but i used a peice of plastic clothes hanger to make my extinguishers on a dio i think it would be fairly simple to use that with your project just need to get some small dia metal wire and some tires ,say off a1/48 kit,and the personnel i use (i believe they are called) IDF tank crew in 1/35 all you really have to do is paint in the correct colors and they blend great they are plastic
