Quick T-34 dio
Posted by zokissima on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 10:07 PM
This was for a GB entry on another forum. The T-34 is the DML offering with a Maquette engine and tranny. Well here's my entry. The figures are a mixture of Tamiya, Italeri, and DML, all of them converted with poses changed. I'm pretty satisfied with the way the figs and tank turned out. The base I finished in all of 5 days, and the crazy rush job shows. Unfortunately, I'm moving in two weeks, and this just had to be wrapped up prior to the move. Completely ruined the base, but whatever. Oh, and everything on the base, except the door and lamp are scratchbuilt.

Really like it! chipping is graphite pencil right?  Only thing I noticed, is that your skin tone seems slightly yellowish, maybe the lighting.  Great work though, rubble looks cool.

Zork,

Great work!  I noticed that the hair style of the mechanic on top rear of the tank is not correct to the era.  That particular hair style was mostly popular in Japan in 1975. J/KBig Smile [:D]

How was the Dragon T-34?  I have a few T-34 from Tamiya and need to purchase few more for my other projects.

Zokissima,

Nice dio.  Particularly for something just 'thrown together'.  Just one question: the guy on the ground at the front of the tank, handing the round up to the crewman.  Is the round he is holding painted?  In my pictures, it looks to be entirely brass...
