Carrier deck...

I'm going to build a carrier deck with the catapult as a diorama for my F-14D Super Tomcat; does anyone have any tips on how to model the steel carrier deck?

i would get a piece of balsa wood and paint it, maybe even add a little texture with some sand. there are also aftermarket companies out there that sell the tings you would find on the deck like lights, crew, and equitment. i even think that a company came out with a carrier deck mold... but im not sure, anyone know? but i hope that that helps

Try a sheet of sand paper for a base texture

What a cool site! Lots of bases for dioramas. I might just purchase a few pieces to add that right touch to my models... Thanks!
