There was also the Polish 1st Airborne Brigade that landed near Driel, they may have had joint missions with the 101st. They would be in British uniform and equipment. This is a good reference:

Poles apart: The Polish airborne at the Battle of Arnhem
by George F Cholewczynski (Author)

My copy is at home. The book is out of print and expensive! Wow! I am glad I still have my copy if a used copy is going for $225.00. If you want me to, I'll see if there are any incidents of joint actions and scan the pages.

During the aftermath of Market-Garden, US Paratroopers from the 82nd and 101st were used in collecting up evading British Paras who were escaping from the Arnhem area. One particular mission is covered during "Band of Brothers". If you are not sticking to 101st troopers, during Operation Varsity, some US 17th Airborne elements were mistakenly landed on the British 6th Airborne's DZ's. They definitely landed on a hot DZ and would qualify for your battle scenario.

British 1st and US 101st para questions

I have a whole bunch of Airborne figures and at one point I had an idea of sticking them with my somewhat smaller collection of Red Devils. I knew the Brits were known for Arnhem, and I figured well, might as well throw the US guys into the mix. Then sadly I quickly discovered that the 101st wasn't in Arnhem for Market Garden... and thats as far as I got.

Does any one know of any kind of battle/skirmish/instance where the 101st Airborne would have come across British paras? Preferably some kind of combat invironment. As of right now, I've desided to make a smaller Arnhem diorama with just the Red Devils, and then another, like some kind of street fighting... maybe even a hedgrow scene for the 101st. But if they crossed paths, I might do that and keep with my original idea or a big collaboration thing.

Thanks a lot!
