Silver will most likley give you all sorts of problematic reflections.

I would suggest a light grey or off white for photographic as well as color balancing reasons.

I took a photo today with room lighting of a figure on a blue background and the pictures showed up BLACK in the background, the lighting played havoc with my white balance (shooting auto indoors with so called daylight lamps).

But that is what I would do for color, with just a hint of rust streaking (this is usually way overdone) to break up the blankness of the wall, a couple of fire pails, and obligatory no smoking signs.

I got some shelf covering during some remodeling at work and thought it looked a lot like a hanger wall or an aluminum building. What color do you think would photograph best? I thought maybe a silver with a coat of semigloss or aluminum or maybe white. To look like a hanger wall I think some kind of silver would be best but I'm open to suggestions.
