listen to what SteveM says. I saved money though and just bought some old scrub brushes from the dollar store. The threads were about a 95% beige and a 5 % black. Looks real koool!

After application, I dipped some dirty wash in different tones at the base of each clump to add some eye candy.

I take different colors of field grass, hold them by a bunch at one end, and cut with sissors. I cut into different lengths in an upward direction, tapering off the bunch. Let it all fall into a plastic container. I gather it back in smaller bunches and plant it into a wet layer of dark earth colored celluclay (with water-based super glue and fine sand added to the mix). Let it sit for a bit, then use a toothpick to stand it up the way you like it. If you want it less even than that, come back to it a couple of days later with the sissors again, and hack away at it. It takes a while to cover a large area, but I'm pleased with the results.

Good luck and have fun,

Steve

Hi guys, I'm busy building a diorama that is placed in Normandy post D-Day with two Shermans fighting in the bocage. My question to you guys is what's the best way to present field grass? I don't want like even grass I want a field with uneven grass. What are some good techniques? Are there any good brands for this? Thanks in advance. Daniel :)
