I bought some Woodland Scenics Realistic Water. I was going to use it in my tugboat diorama. In the past 2 days I've been reading a lot of stuff about it that isn't sounding good at all. There are reports of problems with it developing bubbles after a few months and they keep getting bigger. And, some problems with it turning cloudy or white.

Now I'm afraid to use the stuff on a diorama that I spent way too much time building. Anyone have suggestions of other stuff to use?

I've poured some of this stuff into some small 3 and 4 mm holes, and in both cases the resultant pools were sunken in the middle! They say to put down layers of no more than 1/8 of an inch at a time (3.5 mm), but it seems to me that 2 mm is the most one can get away with.

I am a member of scale auto mag, and my topic on this was just locked because its not automotive related, how fare they tell me what to build. I need advice on water for a fishing dio I'm going to start in fall. Aparently if I dont have the Duke boys jumping my lake/fishing dio its not automotive, very upset with scale auto mag, may even cancel my subscription ........Pontiacman

Funny timing! I bought a bottle of "realistic water" by Woodlandscenics only yesterday, and am  currently in the process of testing it out.

I'm aware that there are pellets that you can use for water too. Dunno much about them though.

Take a look at Woodland Scenics stuff. They have a couple of pretty good 'How To' videos.
