Warhammer 40K Predator Destructor - Adeptus Astartes, Ultramarines Chapter, 2nd Company
Games Workshop Warhammer 40K Predator Destructor
Adeptus Astartes, Ultramarines Chapter, 2nd Company
An easy build to do and confirmed in my mind that the WH40K models my sons are making are excellent kits that are fun to build. I originally had a smaller, more basic base but decided to play around with something a little better. I admit that is it not that good and should perhaps be a little more busy in regards to rubble and detritus scattered around, but at the time I was mainly into aircraft and basing was not a big issue for me. These days vignette and simple bases are something I apply a lot more thought to.
Anyway, enough babbling. So here is my Space Marines (Ultramarines chapter) Predator Destructor MBT. The Destructor's role is infantry support and fire suppression, while it's more powerful sibling, the Annihilator with it's twin linked main and side mounted las cannon, hunts tanks.
The Destructor is armed with a 120mm (I think anyway) turret mounted autocannon and side mounted 40mm heavy bolters (high explosive autocannon). The commander's pintel mount is a twin linked bolter (20mm).
Painted with Citadel and Vallejo acrylics and sealed off with Pollyscale flat, this is my first SF model in a long time and it was an easy, enjoyable build.

Base consists of Cities of Death scenery elements, unknown origin vac-road paving and MDF base and sidewalk.
I am now considering getting the huge Baneblade or one of a few different Imperial Guard tanks/tank destroyers.
Cheers
