                        A while ago I bought Tamiya's US Infantry weapons set. None looked too good (Top). Dead [xx(]
                        Then I got their 105 Sherman, which came with a much better one(Bottom).

                        Are their weapons sets updated or still like the old ones?

                        interesting any kit i have of US weapons has always been the better bottom thompson i have never seen the top one

                        I just pulled out my original '80's issue weapons set and the one in that set is the same as the top one in your pic.

                        Tamiya did a smaller set of US equipment and weapons that was much better than their 80s vintage realese. The downside was fewer weapons in the set, just a single sprue of gear and weapons. It is sold in a bag rather than a box.
