Helicopter Diorama
Posted by Helo H-34 on Sunday, February 17, 2008 8:26 PM

Hi everyone , I was thinking of building a diorama to go with my current HH-3F Pelican USCG helicopter build. I have  Hasegawa's U.S. Aerospace Ground Equipment Set to use ; I also wanted to add a refuelling truck . I've been searching for a modern refueller in 1/72 scale but all I have seen so far is a JB Bedford refuelling truck [It appears to be a right hand drive vehicle] , the only other kit i've seen on the net is one by Planet models Czech M-978 Oshkosh Fuel tanker . A very nice looking kit but at $74.25 , too expensive for me . I was really just looking for something like what's in the pic above , in 1/72 scale . Does anyone Know of a modern refueller tanker that's available .  Kind regards  Helo 53

I don't know if this helps but heres some.

1/72 AZP72018 6x6 Berliet GBC8 Fuel Truck

1/72 TSM1104 Camion ZIL-157 Soviet Fuel Truck

1/72 TSM1102 Camion ZIL-157 Soviet Fuel Truck

I know they aren't American but that was all I could find, I'll look a little bit later.

David

On the bench:

1/35 Tamiya M26 Pershing-0%

1/144 Minicraft P-38J Lightning-50%

Numerous 1/35 scale figures in various stages if completion.

Hi David , I appreciate the help with my inquiry . I was browsing Squadron.com , they have quite a large listing of 1/72 military vehicles . Most of their fuel trucks are from around the WWII era or a bit after , so far nothing modern . It may work out that I might have to use something like the kits you suggested and try and scratch-build extra bits to make it look modern ?? I'll keep searching too. Thank's again David .   Helo 53
