I've seen those flak towers all over germany, I'm stationed here in schweinfurt.
I never really knew what some of the old bunkers and what not were for?
Next time I go out and about I'll take a few pics of what I find, and there are
quit a few in the woods where I mtn bike.
I have some time next week and later in Dec. Iwas planning on taking leave so
maybe if I can find the roads to the "Eagles nest " I can get some of that for everyone to see as well.

Jon, I just received a catalog in the mail today. I has a book by Michael Foedrowitz (The flak towers in Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna 1940-1950. The website is www.historicaviation.com item number is 1724C. I do not know if they ship overseas, maybe you can find the book in England. Good luck.

I saw the same show. What a great diorama one of those towers would make.
