Iguana moss???

I want to put some tree branches over my 1/72 stug III model G late and I was wondering, I have this one type of moss that is like tree branches and so if i was to take some tea leaves or something and put them on the moss do you think it would make a realistic tree branch. The reason I am doing this is because my airbrush finally craped out and I had to hand paint it . The Tamiya dark yellow completely fadded out the front hatches and I could not for the love of god get the paint off to redo it . so I will just cover up the mistake. anyideas if this might work?
