Revell SBD Dauntless help please

From an Accurate Miniatures SBD kit: top color is light blue grey FS35189, bottom color is light grey FS 36440(I think it's also known as gull grey)

Yes, it was. The Navy adopted it before Pearl Harbor and it lasted until the three tone blue/white scheme was approved.

I'll post them soon.  Almost up to the painting now.  As for assembly it's a great easy kit with decent fit.  As for cockpit detail though it's completely lacking.  But it's my first model in 10 years so I am definitely enjoying it.

 You are correct in that it's a nice little build to break the ice on model building again after 10 years though.

As for the cockpit I didn't modify it.  And for detailing I just slightly dry brushed silver over the dials.  Didn't want to go crazy with a wash since I didn't add any details and being the first model in a while it probably won't be the greatest lol

And last, the fit was pretty good... except for right here in the front you can see the was probably a poor mold.  What would be the best way to fix this?  Filler and sanding?

Looks good Kosmo. The main landing gear gave me fits on this thing when trying to line everything up before gluing it all into position. Keep the progress up.

One of my favorite kits when I was a kid because of all of the moving parts. 

Looking great so far, can't wait to see it finished!

Here are the pilots (1/48).  Took a while... lots of overtime at work during the last 2 weeks.  I realized the khaki is too dark but didn't feel like starting over.  I painted, glossed, acrylic washed, dull coated, and used clear glue for goggles.  Any tips for the future?
