Looking for Monogram 1/72 F-16XL
Posted by tempestjohnny on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 1:59 PM
Anyone know the whereabouts of the older Monogram F-16XL kit. As far as I know this is the only kit made of this plane in 72nd scale. Thanks for any info John

I'd like to get a few more myself, it was a fun kit to modify and paint in operational schemes.

There was a 1/32 kit by a Chinese company a while ago, but it was so utterly inaccurate that I couldn't even bring myself to TRY to build it.

I'd sure love to see somebody do a quality 1/48 kit!

I can't bring myself to do jets in 1/48 just too big. WWII no problem. I don't have the room for the bigger scales. Would love it but right now I think my kids take up 90% of my house. I remember doing the XL when I was a kid loved it. Want about 3 to do different paint jobs. JOHN

Experimental fighters in 1/72 are my thing! Mischief [:-,] I would sure love to get my greasy mitts on two of them. I want to build the single and two seat version. If anyone has a tip on were they can be had, I'd love to know as well. This year, I've seen about five on ebay go for 4-5 times their actual worth. I might have to bite the bullet and win the next couple I see at any cost. Dead [xx(]

Sad [:(] I want one in 1/48th scale. But i guess i could always try to modify a 1/48th scale F-16 but I dont know if i am up to that challenge yet. If there is one out there in 1/48th i will be there at my lhs in a heartbeat. lol
