Mig 25 Colours
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, February 21, 2003 8:10 PM
I'm building the old Mig 25 from Hasegawa. I don't know the exact colours for it. In the Urban Fredriksson's Color Reference Charts ( IPMS Stockholm ) it states to be FS 36375 & FS 36231.
Can anyone confirm this ? As these colours are the same I'm using on my F22 and I don't think an American and a Russian plane would have the same colours.

Thanks !Approve [^]

I had the same problem many years ago when I built a MIG 25. The colors you mentioned are as close to the Russian colors as you can get. The FS 36375 is just a shade darker than the actual MIG 25 color. The FS 36231 is an ideal match.

I have lots of MiG-25 photographs and I plan on mixing my color from memory and the photographs I shot. Most of my MiG-25 shots are on my website.

Testers ModelMaster series has modern Russian a/c paints. Did you check w/ them to see what the colour matchups are?? If they come close to what you want. Flaps up Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger
