If you haven't seen it already, Flight Journal has a new special issue out on the cosair. It is done in the same format as their Mustang and other titles. Great read and some excellent photos as well.

Oh yeah, while not new to some of the other boards on the net. this is my first post over here. Thought I would come over and check it out. Looks pretty cool. I will have to make it one of my usual stopping points. Note to self... hit crtl DBig Smile [:D]

Welcome, Cgarman! Hope you enjoy our little slice of heaven.

Thanks for the headsup on the mag. There is currently a group build taking place on the Corsair, so alot of them would probably be very interested in it.

Aeroplane October 2002 has an excellent artical section on the Corsair as well. Lots of specs, pics and good gen on the "Bent-wing Bird".

Saw the Corsair mag for the first time yesterday - but haven't bought it (yet). I bought the ones that were released earlier this year on the P-47 and P-38. The P-38 issue was particularly helpful in showing how these planes weathered, spewed fluid, and generally got battered up.
