The Tiger Moth prop was wood with a brass leading edge and the last third of the prop covered with fabric painted yellow on the forward side and flat black on the back.
For more Tiger Moth stuff see my web site http://www.barneysairforce.com.

yep it was made of wood (according to my references anyways). but it was normaly painted black whilst in service with the RAF. BTW the aeroclub tiger moth is much better.

DH Tiger moth prop?

Was it made out of wood? I'm kind of assuming it was...but I'm not sure.

I bought a cheapie 1/72 Airfix kit (no, I'm never going to learn my lesson about kits that cost less than $5!) and it has no painting instructions in it.

From pictures on the box, I can handle most of the painting...except for the prop.

I'm 75% sure it's a wooden prop....can anyone confirm that for me?
