Minicraft Airliners...
Hi all,
I'm a new modeler in that I haven't built a kit in 15 years or so, but a year or so ago, I got back into the hobby with a passion. When I first started, I would build anything. Don't really remember my first kit, but my most memorable one was a space shuttle with tank and boosters on a pad with the launching tower. Man that thing was huge! I believe it was a Monogram kit.
As delicate as it may sound, I returned to the hobby after the events of September of last year, and I now focus on airliners (with the occasional B-29 on my shelf). I just couldn't stand the thought that these beautiful birds were used as weapons, so I thought I would do something constructive in that area. And boy is it ever therapeutic.
Anyway, enough ranting.
Right now I'm working on the Minicraft 737-300 with AA markings. I'm enjoying the kit, but the problem I'm having with it regards the large canopy piece. After attaching it to the fuselage and filling the gap between the pieces, some of my sanding efforts have removed some of the recessed window detail at the extreme edges. I'm kind of stuck until I can find a good tool/method for rescribing the lines. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan
EDIT: As I'm going through my decal box, I've realized that the 737-300 and -400 are the only Minicraft kits that I have that don't have cockpit window decals on the sheet. So, alternately if anyone can recommend an aftermarket decal sheet with 737 cockpit window decals, that would be just as good a solution for me.
