sam1colt:
As far as I can find, there were only two aircraft that carried the Bunny : the Tomcat and the Phantom. The reference I have also states that "polictical correctness" has seen the Bunny removed form the VX-4 tail-fins.

http://www.skyhawk.org/3E/VX4/vx4.htm#AIRCRAFT
this is a link to the vx-4 web-site. It lists a number of aircraft that this squadron used as evaluators and says that VX-4 and VX-5 were merged to become or to be attached to VX-9. They have Hornets, i think.

And there's nothing to stop you from doing a "what if" paint scheme to represent the Bunny on these other a/c.

Thanks for the Intell this is a great way to go as I didnt need the plastic any way. I happen to have 2 Hasagawa F-4J sitting in my shop and all the prep work has already been done on one of them. I'm going to order that decal sheet tomorrow. You dont happen to know if there have been any other aircraft released with the Bunny Scheme do you because as you say if you've done one you have to do the other or others.Any way Thanks for the Help and just so you know im based in the great state of TEXAS.

Hey Samcolt1 : You know it's a strange thing, but I finished the F-14 Black Bunny a few months ago. I bought hte Revell Balck Tomcat kit as I thought it was the only way to get the decals, which are all important!
However, it was the Italeri 1/48 Tomcat I amde up as the Bunny as the Revell kit is actually the old Monogram reboxed. And boy, there were some massive fit probelms there. Then I just swopped decals and paint schemes and it looks a treat!!

As for the F-4, ( to actually answer your question), I too am about to do the F-4 Bunny. Hey, you do one, you got to do the other!!
You can get the decals, in 1/48 scale from Yellowhammer YHD48-18. They cost about $8.00.

www.meteorprod.com/YHtop.html
Click on 1/48 scale,
Scroll down until you find YHD48-18 F-4Js: VF-192 Ferris Scheme & VX-4 Black Bunny .

The kit is the Hasegawa F-4J Phantom II "Blue Angels" and the decals are actually made to fit this particular kit.

I'll have a word with my mate Oggy as he is the Phantom expert in these neck of the woods ( he's currently building the 1/32 Phantom) and I'll ask him to post to here in the next day or so. Where are you based?

I am searching for one of the Black Bunny Kits and I cant find one any where (e-bay, local hobby shops, internet shops. ect..). I have one of the F-14 Black Bunny kits and Id like to model one of the F-4's with the same scheme. I am working in 1/48 if any one has one they want to get rid of or knowsw where I can get one please let me know. Even just the decal sheet and instructions would be great as I will probably use a Hoss kit for the plastic. Thanks for the help
