Hi everybody, does anyone know the serial number of fl.lt Dave Morgan`s sea harrier on 1st may attack on Port Stanley? All I know is that it was embarked on HMS Hermes, belonged to 800 NAS.
Thanks

FL LT Morgan scored kills in two Sea Harriers:

FRS1...S/N: ZA177 (written off 21 Jan 83...pilot ejected)
FRS1...S/N: ZA192 (written off 23 May 82...pilot lost)

Not sure which one he was flying that day.

try this site, these guys know everything about the SHAR, and will be able to tell you. I am sure I have this info somewhere, but can't lay my hands on it right now.

What kit are you building?

All the best

Hello guys,
thank you for your replies. I am starting tobuild two (possibly threee) Italeri SHAR. One of them will represent D.Morgan`s plane on 1st of may, when he landed back on Hermes with a "beautiful" hole on the tail.
That is the plane number I am looking for.
thanks

Right, I have found it, according to Falklands Air War (Midland publishing 2002) he was flying ZA192.
