For the BF-109, RLM 02 would be correct. For most late model Spitfires the wheel wells were unpainted aluminum.

The best aircraft color reference I've found is "Flying Colors" (ISBN 0-89747-121-0) from Squadron/Signal Publications. Contains full color art work of aircraft from WW I thru the F-16, includingg many unusal aircraft with squadron markiings, etc. I use it extensively and highly recommend it for any aircraft modeler.

Correct, RLM 02 gray-green (cockpit is RLM 66 Black-gray)

Spitfire: British Interior Green for everything.

Both available in the Testors Model Master line.
