Color of WWII US Navy Bombs?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, November 30, 2003 12:36 PM
I have seen various photos of navy bombs being loaded on airacraft...They do not appear to be olive drab in color. They look more like Grey or yellow...Does anyone know the proper color for US WII Navy Bombs?

Bombs were primarily Olive Drab with yellow rings around the nose and sometimes around the "tail". Napalm canisters were left aluminum.

Some of the bombs used by the dive bombers were chrome yellow. The SB2C Helldivers would drop these.
