Trying to find a Supermarine S6-B model
Posted by abacero on Sunday, November 30, 2003 9:12 PM
Hi everyone!

I am a great fan of the Supermarine Spitfire and I am trying to assemble some types of it, even I modified a Mk1 to be the K5054 prototype.

However, I was looking for the Supermarine S6b racer monoplane. Long time ago, there was a collection of 1930's race planes, unfortunatelly I don't know the brand, but even in that collection there was not a S6b.

Do you know if there is any model of one, or at least any idea of how to modifie an acrtual Spitfire model to become de S6b racer?

I will appreciate any suggestion or finding.

Best regards,

Alberto

Alberto,

HAWK made an S-6B (touted as being 48th, but looks closer to 50th or maybe even smaller) which has been re-released several times over the years by Testors. If I've got doubles I'd be willing to part with one.
