Due to limited storage space I don't get to collect many build models.

The few that are sitting on the shelf are in Display cases that
were either bought or made by me, most of them are stackable.

Trying a new bought display case with 3 tiers now, if all fits well I can keep 3 Bike Models in one case.

Compressed air and a feather duster works well. Sometimes I may use a tack cloth. I also use old bed sheets to cover all work in progress. If you can sew you can make various size covers. If the work is covered in this manner it should help with the dust control. Smile [:)]

I also use compressed air for dusting models and electronics. If the surface is big enough, however, a small vacuum (or attachment) might get rid of dust more permanently. Puffing air just disturbs the dust, but it always settles down again. A vacuum eliminates it a bit better. :)

Easy to solve, naclccti. Just wrap the cats with duct tape. :-)

My problem is compounded since my wife insists on putting the cat box in my model room. Thus, two furrballs are in their constantly trying to mark the room as theirs with their stench, additionally, dust is everywhere. I dust models and the shelves on a weekly basis. It is extremly irritating.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I think that a small brush and compressed air would work the best.

I keep mine in a curio but rotate models on display from storage in those huge under-the-bed plastic storage cases (keeps them safe and dustless). Any dusting is done with a blush brush.

I use a shaving brush and follow up with a squirt or two of compressed air.

I just dust it all off regularly with a wide, soft brush. Been doing that for years, no problem.
It's fun, too, cuz I get to get "up close and personal" with all my models on a regular basis. Beats tossing 'em on a shelf and forgetting about 'em!

If that's not your bag, try cases!
