kit reviews
Posted by nsclcctl on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 1:01 PM
Where does everyone go for the easiest to find kit reviews? I am assuming there is no link through this board for reviews. For instance, I just ordered the Hasegawa Stuka through Squadron, now I need a simple place to go, type in Stuka, 1:48 Hasegawa and wallah, kit reviews including painting schemes, potential problems and photos. Am I on the right track? Where does everyone go?

I've been a little put off but the fact that with the incredible resources of the internet that there isn't a good review archive. As a result, I've been toying with the idea of posting some on my webspace. If I could get contributors, I might be willing to do a quick, down-and-dirty site for this. I tend to gravitate towards Hasegawa for 1/72 aircraft but in some cases Academy, Tamiya or another is the better choice. Kits, decals and detail sets would also be a must. What do you all think?

Try the search engine at this web site:
http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com
It has a build up of the Hasagawa Stuka

I can't remember the web address of this one site in particular but when I do a Google search on "SMAKR" it takes me to a great review site as well. It stands for Scale Model Aircraft Kit Review. Hope that helps too.

www.hyperscale.com is an EXCELLENT web site for reviews of aircraft kits. I personally thinks it's the best for this kind of information. And the reviews are written by guys & gals like us - MODELLERS!!!

Am glad I peeked in this post. Now I know where I can look for kit reviews when before I only rely on reviews in modeling magazines like FSM. Thank you guys for the info. Thanks nsclcctl for posting this.
