Looks like there are some diecast planes available from TucanoLine. To check them out, go to this site and do a search for "Lord of the Rings"

Not really a fan but I do have the DVDs of the first 2 episodes.

Good links, Dave. Thanks.

Guess they must be big fans. And I thought the Cat in the Hat was getting a big marketing blitz!

I flew in a Simpsons plane once. It was yellow with pics of the various charactors all over it. The side was a huge Simpsons logo. Maybe I should post some pics of that one.

I'd really love to travel to NZ, it looks like a really beautiful country from what I've seen on film. I'd also really like to check out some old Maori stuff, carvings and whatnot. Maybe I'd see if I could get a moko while I'm there.

As I understand it, there are three NZ Air planes with LOTR characters on them. The Aragorn and Arwen plane is one, there's one with Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and I'm not sure what the third is.

Daco Products of Belgium did release the Simpson scheme in 1/144, Madda... Quite cool looking!

Still, not as attractive as some South African Airways and Quantas schemes... And let's not forget the Pepsi Concorde..!

If the decals come out, I may just have to do a foray into Airliner modeling. 1/48 scale 747-400 amyone? I'd settle for 1/72!

That's big, Paul..! I'd go with the Revell kit in 1/144 or even better Hasegawa's 1/200... I have a couple of those completed and they barely fi into my display case. Any bigger, I can't take them!

I think they're pretty cool looking.

I didn't know they had one with Legolas on it. I know the other has a Hobbit theme w/ Frodo and maybe Sam?

Hmmm, I wonder if it's available anywhere. I might have to try and hunt that one down. Any idea where it might be hiding?

Which one?

Whichever it is, you might be able to find it at one of these sites.

That's the very plane I was on. I'll have to dig my photos of it out. People thought I was odd taking pics of an airplane. Even an interesting one like that doesn't seem to be worth pictures to most people. I'm just a plane nut I guess.

Many thanks for the pics and the link!
