The usual thing is for the slats to come out with the first selection of the flaps to
'balance' the wing. No matter what flap selection is made, (take off/land, 20 degree's etc)
I haven't built the Italeri Tornado, but if it's anything like most of the others it will be missing the wing bags, the seals in the fuslage into which the wings sweep. Without them the model will look silly, with them you won't be able to sweep the wings if you want to when it's built. But then you'll have to move the pylons, and they usually snap off anyway!

Italeri Panavia Tornado/A340 forward slats

I bought the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) IGR?, tornado in 1/48. I was wondering if any body has built this kit. If so, what tips do you have? Should I purchase a detail set, or a PE sheet? Thanks.
Does any body know if the forward slats on the A340-300 come down with the flaps, or can they be selected. I've finished building flaps for my A340, but am wondering if I should cut off the slats and rebuild them. How many ribs are in the forward slats? Thanks for any info.
