Tamiya 1/48 Kubelwagen
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 5, 2003 5:35 PM
G'day all.

I picked up Tamiya's new 1/48 Kubelwagen kit yesterday, At first look it seems like a very nice little kit it even has a pilot and officer figures looking at a misson map. I can see a diorama coming up! I hope Tamiya produce a whole series of these little vehicles, they will look great parked next to our aircraft. Guess it's time to take a walk on the dark side.

Regards....Snowy.

Hey all,
I too picked up this lil gem today. Matter of fact I picked up two to be exact..!!Tongue [:P] Anywho the over all kit looks great.
The detailing is very nice, it basically looks like Tamiya shrunk their 35th Kubelwagen down.
The figures are the norm for Tamiya, not overly done w/ detail like the other after market figures but very nice indeed.
For the decals they give you two choices, one is from JG3,France 6/44 and an unknown grp from the Eastern front 6/44.
Like Snowy mentioned, I hope that this is just the begining for vehicles and other flight line accessories.
The kit is priced nicely at $15.Big Smile [:D]
Flaps up, Mike

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger
