Alclad II sucks

I've had nothing but trouble with this crap. It's nearly impossible to airbrush without causing a pool of caustic paint to form on the plane, ruining the finish. I know you're supposed to paint at 15psi. The gray primer simply doesn't work as a base coat . Just now, I picked up my hasegawa 1/32 sabre to move ti and left five deep fingerprints in the finish !!!! AAAAARGH!!!!! The plane's been finished for two months. I HATE ALCLAD!!!!

Well I just used some Alclad II for the first time and I had no problem at all. Make sure you are using the right kind of primer. Alclad also dries very fast and is very durable.

It's probably your primer. I use Krylon gloss black as a primer and put down several light coats of Alclad II. Don't try to get solid color density on the first run but let it build over three or four coats. I've never had any trouble this way.
