                        Revell-Monogram 1:48 scale B-17F available?

                        In the January issue of Fine Scale Modeler there is an article in which the auther talks about building a Revell-Monogram 1:48 scale B-17F and even gives the kit number (85-4701). Is this a reissue kit or a brand new introduction because I haven't heard anything about this until I read the article? Also, I am inquiring as to when Revell of Germany's 1:48 scale B-24D kit will be on the market?

                        More than likely, it's (B-17F) the "Memphis Belle" kit he's talking about. It was issued quite a few years ago, and can still be found in a lot of hobby shops. As far as a B-24D kit, I have no idea.

                        The "F" will be out in a few months again, you can preorder it at http://www.Squadron.com or http://www.Greatmodels.com for under $20.00. It's a nice kit exterior wise but mostly empty inside. The B-24D is being reissued at about the same time but is a little more money.
