i started building a dh2 about 3 months ago it was going well, and i decided to glue the rigging line into the locating holes on the lower wing to make things easier.........yeah right! the fusalage struts are moulded as part of the fusalage, no problem there, i glued the next two struts out to the bottom wing putting more lines in first, im so clever at these ww1 aircraft ar,nt i! now here comes the gremlins, the wing struts lift the wing so the cabane struts dont reach the wing,hmmmm.... i know, ill shave a bit off to lower it all. this is done, but still a slight gap, o.k. just a little pressure will force it down to meet........SPOING!!!! top wing springs off, but not too far cos of the half attached stuts and line. make no mistake its now a mess, ive just been sorting it out (back to square 1 for the top wing going on) after a week of try to pluck up the courage to even look at the thing. my next build will definatly be any aircraft flying after about 1935. but it got me thinking, has anyone had a worse episode of frustration-itis?
