Hey Erich!

Photos of Hartmann's birds are fairly hard to find. I'll dig around some, I know I have something somewhere.

hello erich,
the wintercamo that was used is called - Winterkalk - so it was water based.

Just finished mine. I used the RLM underside color and just flat white acrylic on the top. I weathered with pastels and the result was a nice looking well "used" eastern front aircraft.. The kit decals go on great although when painting the yellow on the bottom half of the nose, it is a little off from the decals. You might want to mask off and paint all of the yellow squadron markings. When I get my digital camera back, I'll post a reply with a copy or two.

I´m up to take a project about a Me-109 G-14 flown by Erich Hartmann with the winter camo at teh East Front. Does anyone have any pix or recommendations. Was this winter white paint apllied always water based?
