Detail photos and photoetched parts for Me262
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 6:20 PM
I bought the tamiya model of the Me262. I was wondering if anybody knew where to get some photoetched parts for it. I was also wondering if anybody knew where I could get detailed photos for reference.

Someone else in a different location was also looking for some detail info. Seems like the 262 is a popular subject. For parts, I would look at the Greatmodels website. They cross reference everything by aircraft.
Stormbird Rising by High Morgan is a great reference. Detail photos of wheel wells, cockpit , etc. Great photo coverage. Less expensive is a monograph Published by the Czech firm MBI. Lots of detail and color.
Osprey Publications Aircraft of the Aces #17 has photos and color profiles. Aircraft Monograph #8 by AJ press has some marginally useful black and white photos, but great color profiles. The British publication,
Air Enthusiast International Vol 3#5 has a cutaway illustration and cockpit photos but could be hard to find. Scale Aircraft Modelling Vol 14 #9 has some camoflage pattern information and color data.
Don't mean nothin'
