Yea, I got that site. It's pretty much the best I have and the pics are not real high in res. Thanks.

Hi Dana,

Here's a pretty good collection of "Walkaround" photo's of the Mig-19:

Take care,

Thanks Pete. That's pretty much the info I was looking for. I know it's generel, but the reference materiel for this aircraft isn't real good some I'm having to make some generalizations. Thanks again.

The general rule is; ( and this is without going to have a look at a Mig 19 picture)
three lines to the leg actuator; One up line, one hyd down line & one emergency (Nitrogen usually) down line. There might be a separate actuator for an inboard door, in which case that might have two or three (in emergency the locks may come undone & the gear leg knocks it out of the way.
usually there is only one brake line down the leg, unless there's a backup brake system? not unheard of, but rare, could it be electrics in a tube?. Anti lock brake system?
Any other tubing in the well could be hydraulics going out to the aileron actuator, or, again, electrical wiring in a tube to protect it from stones etc off a spinning wheel. You could also get wiring out to pylons or integral tanks.
That lot may not have helped much, but I hope some of it does!

Ok, I know the answer I'll be getting will be very generic, but when looking into a wheel well of a fighter, in this case a Mig-19, generally what lines would you see?

Brake lines: The pics I have show three lines running in the well and then up the strut. I assume these are brake lines.

Hydraulic lines: There also several lines in the pics that SEEM to be running to the doors and actuaotrs. I assume this is what they are. Would there be one for each door and one or two for strut operation?

What other lines would normally be in there?

Thanks.
