Frank, that's hilarious!
I might just steal that from you and use it as my signature anyway!

$225...hmmm....well, it is a big kit, I suppose...

Must be a great job that you have. I would LOVE to have a job where I could see such aircraft on a regular basis. I saw the Discovery Wings episode on that plane, and I was IMPRESSED with its size, to say the least. To think that something so big can fly...........

It wasnt an airshow, I was at work.
She's back again today, parked up near 2 AN124's in the middle of the airfield.
Its an aircraft I thought I'd never see and now its just another aircraft - familiarity breeds contempt !

Yes it is, Brian,

Maybe once you get that HUGE airplane built, you can switch your Signature box to something like this one... Big Smile [:D]

Hey J,

I got to snooping around, and found reference to a 1/72 scale An-225 here: http://www.72scale.com/aircraft/Antonov.htm..... I then searched for that kit brand and found this: http://www.heavykits.com/AN225.htm

It's a vacuform with 84 resin pieces, and a 48" wingspan!! Wooooah!![:0]

Oggy,

How can you go to an airshow with NO CAMERA???? Why, that just defeats the purpose of going to an airshow, doesn't it?Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Smile [:)]Laugh [(-D]

I know there are ready made 200 scale 124's around but I don't know about the 225.
I would like to get my hands on one myself as I was lucky enough to do a walkaround the last time one stopped off here (sorry folks - no camera).

An-225 kits?
Posted by J-Hulk on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 7:29 AM
Just a quick kit availability Q for you aviation experts:

Are there any kits of the Antonov 225? You know, the huge, 6-engined, twin-tailed Russian (Ukranian now, I believe) cargo monster?

I have faint memories of seeing a kit of an An-225 with the Buran shuttle riding piggyback...

As always, any and all help is gratly appreciated.
