What color would be good to accentuate panel lines on a F4U-1D painted glossy sea blue? I'm thinking black but would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I've seen pencil lead do an outstanding job for that. Just take a mechanical pencil with .5mm lead, or an extremely sharp regular pencil, and run the lead through all of the panel lines. Wipe away (erase??Smile [:)]) the excess. I've not tried this method myself, but I've seen it done by others, and it always comes out looking great.

Iv'e tried black on the Gloss Dark Sea Blue for Corsairs and Hellcats and frankly it was hardly worth the effort as the black just doesn't make the lines more visible unless you get real close. I experimented with other color washes on a scap model but never found a combination I liked.

Thanks for all the help. The pencil sounds interesting, I may try that.
