Need Aircraft Maintenance Figures 1/48 Scale
Posted by LtGreg on Sunday, December 21, 2003 1:01 PM
Am doing a diorama of US aircraft maintenance at airbase in England circa July 1944. Have the figures from my B17 Monogram kit but need more maintenance figures. I cannot use the figures from the Monogram P 61 kit since they have short sleeves and are for diorama in the Pacific.

Anyone have some figures they are not using? I will reimburse you for postage.

Thanks!

Hi Greg,

I think I would use the old "Improvise, Overcome, Adapt" motivation (Skulpy), and GIVE the Pacific figures some long sleeves. Wink [;)]

I think someone makes a WWII Ground Crew set in 1/48 scale, maybe Hasagawa?

Regards,
Frank

If I remember the P-61 figures correctly. Only one was shirtless. One had his sleeves rolled up and the other's were rolled down. Besides, you said it was July. England has warm weather. Right?
Question?? How big of a hurry are you for the figures??
I need to get things organised from a recent move and then I will get into my storage bins and see what I can come up with.

Eduard very recently released a set of WWII US figures which includes several Ground Crew. Pretty Pricey at $14.95, but they are well done and other accessories are included.
