I tried the fresh tape technique... didn't quite worked. I did the nail-polish one but used Equate's Non-Acetone Polish Remover. It worked like a dream! Maybe because it didn't contain acetone, it will less likely to hurt styrene. Thank you for your reply guys! I love this forum.. problem solved all in a day!

Yes, I agree with the above poster.
Get a new piece of tape and try to make the adhesive stick to the residue on the wing. I actually leart that in a cd store when the clerk was going to wrap a christmas present and removed the price tag.

You might try using a new piece of tape to pull the adhesive off with. The glue on the newer tape should pull the older tape off without hurting the plastic.
Good Luck

Couple of different ways to deal with this:
1. Goo-Gone, buy it at most grocery stores and arts and craft stores.

2. Fingernail polish remover that contains acetone. Be gentle with this stuff and wash it off when you're done removing the glue. DO NOT try straight acetone as it will eat your model up!

TAPE GUM ADHESIVE EMERGENCY!

I was trying to dry fit wings of my F-5E Photo Lightning with tape and forgot about it for a month. Now, I removed the tape and it left the adhesive residue. I tried to get it ff by soaking it in soapy water but that didn't work. How do I remove these marks without damaging the plastic?
