                        I've seen the kit, but never bought it.
                        Actually, the only "modern" Japanese aircraft kit I have is Hasegawa's 1/32 JASDF F-86F-40.
                        Old but nice kit!

                        I've got the kit, but haven't had a chance to start putting it together. I have had a chance to get some pic of the US-1, which the JMSDF currently flies from here in Atsugi. A bit different, but nothing major.

                        Folks,

                        Any one out there in modelling land ever built this kit? I got it for Christmas. Any peculiararities to know about? It looks like a well-engineered kit, but it does have a 1987 date on the box. Test-fitting the fuselage doesn't show any abnormalities.

                        When I was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan, back in 1989, I used to watch these things do touch & go's for hours a day. They seemed to just float in the air, barely moving. I wish now that I had taken some pictures of them while there. I've found a few websites with information, but not any detailed pictures.
