That was a creation by eddie miller - unfortunately, the search facility isn't working too well at the moment and I can't find it either. Tongue Tied

Howdy Metallicus,

I was surprised to see that name again. It's nice to see that one hasn't been forgotten. That was one of my all time favorite builds and still occupies a majority of one shelf.Smile Here are some more photos if you still want to see them. Thanks for bring back the memories of that build. Cool

I guess I'm not much of a fan of completely out there what ifs. Why does it need 4 engines? To carry the weight of 1 extra gun? Why does it need 2 guns? A larger ammo store would have been a lot lighter. In what enviroment would this camoflage be intended to operate? It doesn't look functional to me.

Hmm

Oh and the ammo drums on the real guns means they wouldn't fit there without much larger bulges on either side of the fuselage.

Eddie Miller built crazy what-ifs and they were a lot of fun. He left during the previous to most recent big forum change. One of the best parts was that he would keep his WIP builds really interactive, asking us all the time what we thought about this or that.

To be able to bash up a kit like that and not have it be a mess takes real talent IMO.

This was the very original thread. Unfortunately, so many are now gone that the photo links are all busted up. But you get the idea, folks like Bernie and Darwin who spent their carrers around military airframes tossing in their crazy side.

Has it been almost 6 years already???!!!!

Man, I miss seeing Eddie's crazy planes...preposterous or otherwise, they inspired me to a couple failed attempts...but finally led me to the MIG-229 Fulcrum II....

Thanks Eddie!!!

Whif builds are great for just releasing the creative mo-jo. YOu dont have to worry about accuracy or research. Just do what you want!!

You built that, lady?

Wuddayah callit? Luft 75?

Anyhow the *** thing goes back to the rather unique vocabulary of our lost, and banned about the same time I was; Von Manstein.

hehe, I call it the "crazy hornet", or F/A-188 Yellow Jacket Wink

In keeping with the bug theme, I couldnt think of any better markings than the big yellow "wespe" that adorns the bf-110. So, the spares box was raided and I slapped some german markings on 'er!

as for the ***, you just gotta love Manny.... Confused

Hello!

Well I prefer the name of "Bondo Bee" for it! I mostly don't like the what-ifs, but the Hogzilla and the Bondo-Bee are very nice. Those jobs require good building skills and they show admirable filling and smoothing of all those surgeries - respect!

Good luck with your builds and have a nice day

Paweł
