                        Models are like peanuts you can not have just one! I love this particular scale it is a bit easier than the 1/144! It is not finished yet I have a bit more painting some weathering and I still have not decided if I will do a base or a diorama. Any suggestions?Smile [:)]

                        Great work there MRS DJ for the diorama base i would go or a sand scene with some green scrub bush (matches the camo) and maybe something like a kubelwagen or similar next to it in africa corps markings. Greg

                        Looking good ! I've always liked the Luftwaffe desert camo colors.
                        For a base, you may want to consider hard-packed desert sand. I don't do grounds myself, but someone else will probably know how to achieve this.
                        I know about the "peanut theory !" I'm building three at once right now ! (topic is "3 Birds with 1 Stone")

                        I have been thinking of moving to 1/72 scale. I mostly work in 1/48, but there just isnt enough room on the shelves to display aircraft at that scale Dead [xx(](1/48 that is)

                        Looks great Mrs Dj! I really like the 1/72 scale, not tiny like the 1/144 but fits on the shelf alot better than the bigger scales. (I like 1/48 as well, in fact just getting back in to the hobby after a long break I went with the 1/48) You're paint job looks good, did you use an air brush?

                        For the sand colour and the blue underside I airbrushed, for the green camo I used a sponge. It was my first attempt at the camo and I thought I did not do to bad.
