KJ200 hello? the uncivilised nations of the world play rugby??!![:0]
i love american football (oh what happened to my raiders this year?!Disapprove [V]), but rugby is my game:
at the highest level you need strength and skill to succeed; at the lowest you need courage and determination, and learn a lot more about yourself than you ever will playing " soccer"; those who play rugby have a respect for authority that is a world away from those overpaid nancy-boys who parade around in their silky shorts, pretending to be hurt only to rise lazarus-like seconds later, swearing petulantly at the referee when something goes against them; oh, and at least at rugby games you can have a beer (or ciderTongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]) with an opposition fan without getting into a fight with him/her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
phew!!! got that off my chest!!
SoapBox [soapbox]
sorry for the ranting guys....

Your confused, you keep saying OSU. The Sooners ain't orange baby, LSU is going down. By the way, how can you say OU doesn't deserve to be in the Sugar bowl? What's LSU's record for the season? What's USC's record for the Season? What's OU's record for the season? All the same. We were #1 in the BCS and we are going, so the heck with USC! Just playin by the rules the BCS set up.

SEC. Hmmmmm, let's see.............Nope!!!! Ain't NOBODY in the SEC even DESERVES to be on the same field as OU, except for LSU!!!!
As for USC??? WHO DID THEY PLAY?????
For years, Alabama set their own schedule. The main reason they had such good seasons.
If Arkansas would get rid of Frank Broyles, they MIGHT be able to start a decent football program. Until that day..............DON'T COUNT ON IT!!!!!!
Our poor, old Sooners will just keep riding across Arkansas to get to the bowl games!!!
As far as OSU goes??? The closest they have ever been to a National Champion is about 90 miles!!!!! Shock [:O]

GO
SOONERS!!!!!!!!!!
Randie [C):-)]Agape Models Without them? The men on the ground would have to work a lot harder. You can help. Please keep 'em flying! http://www.airtanker.com/

Let me just say this. Soccer scores of 1-0 or 2-1 are incredibly boring. I watch soccer all the time because my girls are very good high school players. Still, 1-0 at the end of the 1st half probably means a boring second half. BORING!!!!!!
As far as OSU is concerned, football is only played in the SEC, best sports conference in America. LSU is the pride of the southeastern conference and will not let us down. Oklahoma claims to have tradition. Maybe in rodeo or water polo but when it comes to real sports like football and BBall, move over OSU. This game is for the national championship and unfortunately, LSU should be playing USC. But, OSU is there and the Bengal Tigers are gonna whoop them.
Again though sports fans, all in fun. I think aftermarkets posted picture is awesome and I respect him. By the way, in a Sooner- Nebraska game, I go Sooners!!!!!

While rugby is pretty rough, the size and stregnth and speed of American Football players would make most rugby players totally uncompetitive at it. The pads are necessare to prevent very serious injuries, and they only work half the time. Concussions are still frequent, as are broken noses and poked eyes smashed and split chins. I won't even get into broken ribs, hands, thumbs, fingers, toes and legs. The hits are so hard that combined with the high speeds, destroyed knees are common. Don't be fooled by the pads, they are the only thing that makes it possible to play the game, otherwise the average career legnth would be 3 games rather than 3 years. Rugby is tough, but American football is at the very least just as tough, I promise. As for why it's called Football and not something else, that's always been beyond me, Soccer is the true Football. Why is Cricket called Cricket, I've never seen an insect play.

OU is going to whup up on LSU in a bad way. Wait until you see the man really run up the score and not hold back for a change!

Let me re-phrase that since obviously I have offended the nations abroad, American Football.

Now rodeo is a real sport, no contracts, ride when you are hurt, spend your own money to get from show to show, and if you don't win, you don't get paid. No players unions. And 90% of the top name contenders, are just down to earth ranch folk. And so I don't offend our friends from down under, y'all send some pretty good riders our way. Troy Dunn to name one, he is one great guy. Athlete wise and personality wise.

Gents,

We in the U. S. do not know what it is to "support" our sports teams. I was in Europe during "World Cup" Soccer games. The fans are a thousand times more ardent than any I have ever seen in the U.S., including Ohio State and University of Michigan fans.

The rest of the world plays "football" (or rugby), we in the States just play "at it"! They do not wear helmets or pads. It is brutal. And say we are uncivilized. rangerj

OH BOY THE FIGHT IS ON BABY!!!!

DISCLAIMER:
For all you foriegners out there who, as of late, seem to get offended easily, we in America take our college bowl games and support for our teams seriously. Nsclcctl and I are not mad at each other and have not offended each other in any way. We are just having a healthy "Fan Ranting" If we offended anyone else in any other way possible, it is purely coincidence and unintentional.

Langley AFB is slated to get the first operational squadron of 22's. Right now the first ones went to Tyndall for the training sqs. I guess when you are the First Fighter Wing, you get to lead, right?

Big Smile [:D]I posted a week ago about the F22 Raptor. Turns out, Revell I belive has a 1:48 version and Italera has the 1:72. I saw both last night in my hobby shop. I bought the Italera last night because I have done their 1:72 F14 and F18. So, while I anticipate fit problems, seams, thin plastic and a total lack of surface detail, I needed one to fit with my 1:72nd series. It looks cool and my guess is will be replaced by something better on the market as soon as it is released. I heard from my father in law who lives in the Norfolk area that they have 4 of them at the moment and they have been seen flying about. I look forward to the build. Will let you know. Tongue [:P]
