From what I gathered in the article I read.
They were hesitant to provide airframes to private contractors. The USFS are the one's looking at the S-3.

So. Who knows?

Sweet idea! It's too bad th military says they won't provide old airframes for use as slurry bombers anymore...that would be a great plane for it!
Hope to see some pictures when your done.

Big Smile [:D]Yeah!! [yeah]
Oh yeah, the fire bombers are so colorful. I remember seeing a DC-3/C-47 on a diorama base with some smoke jumpers in a readers gallery a while back. I hope you post some pictures. I have been thinking of trying to do one of the O-2A's they use as FAC's...I will have to see if I can find any pictures of them anywhere. Does anyone know of aftermarket decals for one of these?

Anyway goodluck chopperfan...send pictures!
